DRESS FOR SUCCESS® SAN ANTONIO receives Grant from Alfred S. Gage Foundation

New Funding Will Support Suiting Program

Dress for Success San Antonio has been awarded a grant of $ 3,000 from The Alfred S. Gage Foundation, Roxana C. Hayne & Joan N. Kelleher, Directors. This contribution will provide much-needed financial support to the Suiting Program that provides professional attire, self-esteem building, and professional development training to low-income women. The Alfred S. Gage Foundation has given this grant to Dress for Success San Antonio for a second consecutive year.

“Dress for Success San Antonio provides an extraordinary service in this community, and The Alfred S. Gage Foundation is proud to be a part of it,” said Tina Pawelek, spokesperson for the foundation. “The important work of this organization cannot be overlooked, and undoubtedly strengthens our entire community. We are confident that our support of Dress for Success San Antonio will help more women become true success stories.”

“We are honored to receive this grant from The Alfred S. Gage Foundation,” stated Pamela Taylor, Executive Director of Dress for Success San Antonio. “We are committed to the women of San Antonio, and with these funds we will be able to provide thirty women with the necessary services they need in order to begin the transition from public assistance to the workforce.”

Since Dress for Success San Antonio was launched in April 2000, the program has reached more than 2,100 economically disadvantaged women from the area with programs for economic and social development, encouraging self-sufficiency through career development and employment retention. Through the financial contributions of supporters such as The Alfred S. Gage Foundation, Dress for Success San Antonio helps low-income women maximize their personal and professional potential and achieve self-sufficiency for themselves and their children.
