District 5 runoff turnout lower that District 8

Voter apathy reared its ugly head in the District 5 City Council runoff between candidates Lourdes Galvan and David Medina. At 4 p.m. only 19 voters had cast their ballots at Las Palmas Library on Castroville Road.

At other locations it wasn't much better. The winner will be sworn in June 26th. (posted at 6:55 p.m.)
