Anguiano & Rodriguez good for river authority says E-N

L-R: Andrew Anguiano, Roberto Rodriguez

The San Antonio Express-News has endorsed Andrew Anguiano and Roberto Rodriguez for the San Antonio River Authority on the November 6th ballot.

The endorsement reads:

In District 1 being vacated by Jim Johnson, we recommend Andrew M. Anguiano. Angiuano, 30, is a lifelong resident of the South side and has served the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the City's Cultural Arts Board. He is partner in an advertising agency.

Anguiano grew up steeped in the water world. His father, Roberto Anguiano serves on the board of the San Antonio Water System.

In District 2, we support incumbent Roberto G. Rodriguez. Rodriguez, 65, has served capably on the board since 2001 and deserves re-election.

As a member of the City's Linear Creekway Parks Advisory Board and the Revitalization of Elmendorf Lake Committee, Rodriguez understands the water-related issues facing our region.

Anguiano and Rodriguez want to focus on flooding problems.
