Express-News endorses Adkisson & Montemayor

District Clerk Margaret Montemayor & Commissioner Tommy Adkisson

The San Antonio Express-News has endorsed Bexar County Commissioner Tommy Adkisson and District Clerk Margaret Montemayor for re-election in November.

The endorsements read:

In the district clerk race, Democratic Incumbent Margaret Montemayor deserves a second term. During her four years in office, Montemayor has improved collections of outstanding court costs and pressed forward in the effort to move the county's district court records into the high tech age. Montemayor is the right choice in this race.

Precinct 4 County Commissioner Pct. 4 Tommy Adkisson , a Democrat is the only member of Commissioner's Court to draw opposition this year. Adkisson has earned aother term.

He works hard to stay in touch with his precincts needs. Additionally, Adkisson has played a major role in the effort to eliminate jail overcrowding, and he is a leader on reducing energy costs through innovative approaches.
