Hispanic Chamber President & CEO, Ramiro A. Cavazos has been invited to speak on a panel discussing the promotion of bilateral economic development during the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute’s (CHLI) FUTURE Leaders Conference (CFLC-San Antonio) on Friday, March 27 at UTSA.

“It is important that we encourage our community to take an active role in shaping our economic future. Programs such as CHLI help insure that future generations of Hispanics are prepared to meet the challenges of business leadership,” said Cavazos. He will discuss the Chamber’s thoughts on how the current economic climate will have an impact on current and future opportunities, and specifically to U.S.-Mexico relations.

At the conference, titled “The Emerging Role of Future Hispanic Leaders in U.S. Mexico Relations,” participants will have the opportunity to build valuable relations with potential employers, as well as community, national and international leaders including Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28), and former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox Quesada who will serve as the keynote speaker.

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is the leading advocate for small businesses in San Antonio and this year marks the 80th year the Hispanic Chamber has represented the interests of its 1,000 members.
