The George Gervin Celebrity Roast attracted a large number of NBA players from the past to include roasters such as Bill Russell, Daryl Dawkins, Gene Banks, Rick Barry, Earl (the Pearl) Monroe, Bob Lanier, John Lucas, Artis Gilmore, Otis Birdsong, Spencer Heywood, Clyde "the Glide" Drexler & "Dr. J" Julius Erving.

Some other NBA Stars players in the audience included: Antoine (Big Dog") Carr, James Silas, Oscar Robertson. Sean Elliot served as Master of Ceremonies.
