Hispanic Chamber hosts 82nd Annual Gala @ HBG Ctr. 1-28
The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is announcing a significant educational initiative benefitting San Antonio’s young people during its 82nd Annual Gala, Fri. Jan 28th @ 6 p.m., @ the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, 200 E. Market Street.
“This is exciting because we believe the results from our announcement are going to give young people the inspiration to seek careers in the advanced sciences fields. Then, later this year, we will also be sending a San Antonio teacher across the country as part of this initiative to make important science discoveries,” said Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ramiro A. Cavazos.
A mix of Who’s Who of civic, business, religious and community leaders is attending the Gala.Special VIPs attending include the new Archbishop of San Antonio, the Mayor of San Antonio, the city’s Hispanic Congressional delegation, the Texas Secretary of State, and numerous CEOs and small business owners. The Hispanic Chamber Gala is San Antonio’s largest business event of the year with 1,400 people scheduled to attend Friday evening. IBC Bank Senior Vice President Eddie Aldrete isserving as the 2011 Hispanic Chamber Board Chairman.
