Patrick McCurdy, SA Mayoral candidate is a man on a mission. An ordained minister, he is the owner of Joseph's Bakery & Restaurant on N. St. Mary's.
McCurdy hosted a fundraiser at his restaurant, Thursday, January 25th. Speaking to his supporters like he preaches to his congregation, McCurdy says, " It is time to believe that the founders of San Antonio had this dream to make our city-community all it can be."
A native Texan, he is the father of five, a Pastor and a businessman in the City of San Antonio. McCurdy contends thar there are areas of change San Antonio needs in order to be a more vibrant city.
He says "the cornerstone of my message is the youth is our legacy for future generations." He pointed out that he will speak to Police Chief Bill McManus to determine how as Mayor he could make a difference in reducing crime.
He also voiced concern about the skyrocketing property appraisals. His solution would be to cap the appraisals and spend less money in a given year and put the money raised by appraisals into a bank to earn interest.
A number of local Pastors atended the fundraiser as well.
