Cowboy Breakfast at Crossroads Mall hosts "cow chip toss"

The event, in its third year in Balcones Heights is now the permanent home of the event at the Crosroads Mall, located at Loop 410/IH10.
The 29th Annual Cowboy Breakfast is history. The event sponsored by Toyota and hosted by the City of Balcones Heights, Friday, January 26th is in the record books.

The perennial favorite activity at the event is the Cow Chip Toss where celebrities toss a cow chip about 20 feet from the stage into a gold colored toilet. Past winners include Wendell Tomlin a Pct. 2 Constable's Deputy and Bexar County D.A. Susan Reed. This years winner is once again D.A. Susan Reed.
Although the competition was stiff, Reed took home the honors after a two year wait. Balcones Heights Mayor Jim Craven forced her into a tie breaking toss off when Reed dunked the cow chip into the gold painted toilet. After three rounds of tossing chips Reed finally came away the winner.
