Rodriguez challenges Bonilla to two debates including one in Spanish according to the Quorum Report.

Bonilla camp responds it already agreed to two and questions why Rodriguez concelled one that had already been set.

With only three weeks until the election, the question of debates between Republican incumbent Henry Bonilla and challenger Ciro Rodriguez ramped up today.

According to the Bonilla spokesman Phil Ricks, two debates had already been agreed to with one set for December 1, hosted by the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.

However, according to Ricks, Rodriguez canceled the December 1 debate siting scheduling conflicts.

Meanwhile, the Rodriguez Campaign sent a
letter to Bonilla yesterday requesting two debates, one in English and one in Spanish. Rodriguez said, " As someone familiar with San Antonio's Southside and the diverse population of Texas' Congressional District 23, you can appreciate the relevance and tribute to our heritage of making a Spanish language debate a part of our two-debate agreement."
