Jaime Martinez celebrates 63rd birthday-runs for LULAC Prez
Candidate for LULAC President (2010)
Dear Friends,
On Saturday, August 28th my father will be celebrating his 63rd birthday and campaign kick-off. Come and dance to the iconic sounds of an All-Star cast of Chicano music legends that have come together to entertain and get you moving on the dance floor.
Our family, friends, and leaders from across the community will come together for this special evening to also celebrate his candidacy for National LULAC President in 2010. My father who has been a champion for civil rights his entire life is motivated now more than ever before to lead the oldest Latino civil rights organization in the country.
His goal in reaching for higher levels of achievement in areas such as immigration, voting rights, health care, and education are issues that he has been passionate about througout his years of activism. Through his long history of service and leadership as a labor leader, civil rights and community activist at the local, state, national and international levels qualifies him to lead National LULAC and its members forward for progress, prosperity, and empowerment.
Our family hopes to see you at this special event.
Thank You,
Ernest J. Martinez
