National Prayer Day draws believers and protesters

National Prayer Day was celebrated at the City Hall steps, Thursday, May 3rd and drew nearly 600 people to include scores of local church members, parochial & private school children and a small band of protesters.
A handout passed out during the service was entitled "America Unite in Prayer." The pre-service music and worship was presented by Community Bible Church Praise Choir and Orchestra led by Associate Pastor Ray Jones.
Oak Hills Church members Denalyn Lucado and Jeff & Carol Nelson sang the Star Spangled Banner to open the event.
Soapy Dollar served as coordinator of the San Antonio National Day of Prayer.
