Musical tribute to Armed Forces at Texan Cultures

UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures (801 S. Bowie) hosted over 600 people for Memorial Memories, a musical tribute to America's Armed Forces, Sunday, May 27th.
The 4th annual free concert featured the music of the Sentimental Journey Orchestra under the direction of Ted Conerly and the music of the Memphis Belles trio, who performed classics from the swing and jazz era.

Tunes included: "Boogie Woogie Bugler of Company B," "String of Pearls" and numerous tunes of the Glen Miller Band, Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey Band and a host of others.
