2010 Hispanic Heritage Cup
Viva Tejas y Viva The Hispanic Heritage Center of Texas!
To All Tejanos & Texians:

The inaugural "Hispanic Heritage Golf Cup Invitational Tournament" will be co-chaired by Honorary Chair City Councilman Ray Lopez and Honorary Chair Mr. Tony Cherone, GM of the Westin La Cantera Resort. The tournament is planned on Saturday July 24th and will take place at the prestigious La Cantera Resort Golf Course; past home to the "Valero Texas Open."

Entertainment celebrities, sports figures and players from San Antonio and other Texas cities will be sourced to compete. Also, players from Mexico and Spain will be sought to participate. There will be a limited amount of 25 teams to play the award wining resort course. The tournament will begin with a breakfast and registration with a "Shotgun" start at 8 a.m.

In addition, to awards to winning teams there will be a "Closest to the Pin" and "Longest Drive" awards among other categories. Further, there will be a "Traveling Heritage Cup" that will be assigned to one of the winning teams from Texas, Mexico or Spain. Then, the cup will return at the following year's tournament to be awarded again.

Currently, we are beginning the planning and organizing of the event. Mr. Ron Botello from Planto Roe has agreed to be our event Golf Chair. As such, we need volunteers to participate in making this inaugural golf tournament a success. Committees are going to be formed to assist in sign in, auction, luncheon, raffle and sales. Golf shirts and goodie bags will be given to all volunteers.

For more info and to RSVP, contact Ron Botello at (210) 241-5767.

Respectfully,
Rudi R. Rodriguez

Chairman/Founder
