Café is only university-based Starbucks in South Texas
UTSA will celebrate the grand opening of the only university-based, full-scale Starbucks Café in South Texas. UTSA President Ricardo Romo will host a ribbon cutting and offer remarks, along with other UTSA officials.
Students, faculty and staff will sample free coffee and pastries as a jazz band plays. Attendees can win door prizes including an Xbox 360, Spurs tickets and t-shirt, iTunes gift cards, and enjoy other giveaways.

-- 9:25 a.m. -- UTSA President Ricardo Romo will conduct a ribbon cutting and offer remarks. Administrators, SGA President Tommy Thompson and students will be available for interviews.

Located at the University Center on the 1604 Campus, the new café is decorated in true Starbucks style on the site of a former game room.
