Renewable Energy Discussion @ Buena Vista Building

UTSA Mexico Center, Friends of the Canary Islands to host panel discussion. The Friends of the Canary Islands Foundation and the Government of the Canary Islands will sponsor a panel discussion on renewable energy, offering an international perspective on a growing issue.

Experts from the United States and Europe will discuss current measures, developing technologies, policy and implementation.

The event will occur from 9 - 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 29th @ Buena Vista Building, Aula Canaria (1.328)UTSA Downtown Campus, 501 W. Durango Blvd.

Admission: Free and open to the public.

Background:
A small volcanic island chain off the coast of Morocco and a Spanish protectorate, the Canary Islands are a confined space and unique ecosystem presenting their own set of challenges in generating energy. Hosting the Friends of the Canary Islands helps bring a global perspective to the Mexico Center's goal of opening dialogues that address, discuss and promote bilateral policies to resolve mutual concerns between the United States and Mexico.
