A small volcanic island chain off the coast of Morocco and a Spanish protectorate, the Canary Islands are a confined space and unique ecosystem presenting their own set of challenges in generating energy. Hosting the Friends of the Canary Islands helps bring a global perspective to the Mexico Center's goal of opening dialogues that address, discuss and promote bilateral policies to resolve mutual concerns between the United States and Mexico.
This will be the second year the Mexico Center has collaborated with the Friends of the Canary Islands. For a listing of panelists and topics, visit the Mexico Center at utsa.edu/mexicocenter or call (210) 458-2923 for more information.
