Rene Barrientos-still a candidate-still on the ballot
L-R: State Senator Candidate Rene Barrientos, South Texas Republicans Newsletter Editor & Walker Report Blogger Joe SolisDemocrat Rene Barrientos is still a candidate and still on the ballot for State Senator, District 19. Barrientos is challenging State Senator Judith Zaffirini in the Democratic Primary.
Barrientos dropped out of the Primary race some time back, but did not withdraw his name from the ballot. In an exclusive interview with the South Texas Republicans Newsletter Editor Joe Solis & Walker Report Blogger, he pointed out that voters can still cast a vote for him in the Primary, since his name will appear on the ballot.

I'm having trouble getting a handle on this Barrientos guy. He grew up in South Texas.
