Upcoming SAAHJ May Meeting and Board Nominations
Greetings members and friends of SAAHJ,
The next SAAHJ meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 24 at Heartfire Media. The meeting will be called to order at 6:15 and adjourned by 8 p.m.
Heartfire Media is located in the the Finesliver Building (where I-35 and I-10 meet just northwest of downtown.) The physical address is:

At the May meeting, SAAHJ will begin the process of electing new board members. Current members are welcome to nominate themselves or other SAAHJ members for the board.
We are accepting nominations for the following positions:
- President
- Vice-President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- At-Large Communications
- At-Large Broadcast
- At-Large Print.
All positions will be up for election. Currently the role of Vice-President is vacant and the role of Treasurer will be open/ At-Large Broadcast board member is also open as the board member is termed-out.
Nominations can be made at the May 24 meeting or by e-mail SAAHJ@SAHispanicjournalists.com.
The SAAHJ Board will appoint a current member, not running for a position on the board, to serve as election chair and oversee the process. The election will be in June.
The 2016-2017 Board will serve through the July 15 Gala. The 2017-2018 Board will assume their roles at the event. The current board can be found here: http://www.sahispanicjournalists.com/history/board-members/
