Our Lady of the Lake Univ. gets new President Dr. Diane E. Melby

The Our Lady of the Lake University community welcomed its ninth president this morning in front of Main Building. Diane E. Melby, EdD, received an enthusiastic reception from staff, faculty, students and Sisters of Divine Providence, while President Emerita Sister Jane Ann Slater, CDP, PhD, bid her and OLLU farewell.
Slater presented Melby with a statue of Father John Martin Moye, the founder of OLLU's sponsoring order, the Congregation of Divine Providence and also gave a special blessing to Melby.

Throughout the day, Melby met with university well-wishers and toured the campus that has grown to more than 3,100 students and reached capacity in its residence halls for the fall.
