The 100 Club of San Antonio was founded in July 1973 by a group of concerned citizens. Each member annually donates $100 or more to this nonprofit organization. The fund is utilized when a law enforcement officer or full time firefighter in the Bexar County area is killed or disabled in the line of duty.
When a tragedy takes the life of one of these individuals, the money is used to assist the surviving spouse and dependent biological or adopted children. The 100 Club quickly delivers a check to the family to provide them with funding for their immediately incurred financial burden.
In the case of dependent children, the 100 Club establishes individual trust funds. Annually these trusts are increased by the additional monies collected throughout the year from donations and membership dues. The proceeds from their trust fund is made available to the children when they become 18 years of age. Please visit the web site for more information. www.100clubsa.org
