Message from Councilman Justin Rodriguez on Earth Day

Earth Day @ Woodlawn Lake & Councilman Justin Rodriguez (photos)

Dear Friends,

I hope you are enjoying the slew of Fiesta activities this week. Victoria and I, along with our children, rode in the Texas Cavaliers River Parade on Monday night. It was an exhilarating experience...one I know our family will remember for the rest of our lives.

We kicked off Fiesta week at Earth Day at Woodlawn Lake this past weekend. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the more than 50 volunteers, residents and community leaders who joined us for our second tree planting project. With your assistance, we were able to plant over 30 mature trees along the walking trail at the Lake. Thank you again for your enthusiasm and support of our Green San Antonio initiative.

Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for our District 7 Town Hall Meeting at Pat Neff MS on April 30th at 6:30 pm. CPS Energy officials will be on hand to discuss their energy forecast and proposed rate increase. In addition, be sure to join us next Thursday (May 1) at 7pm as we welcome the San Antonio Symphony to the Jefferson HS auditorium for a free concert. Be sure to check our calendar of events for more details.

Warmest Regards,
Justin Rodriguez
District 7 Councilman
