Austin – Gov. Rick Perry appointed Melissa Goodwin of Austin as Judge of the 427th Judicial District Court for a term until the next general election.

“I am pleased to appoint Melissa Goodwin to serve as Judge of the 427th Judicial District Court,” Perry said. “Her professional and volunteer experience qualify her to serve in this capacity, however it is her unwavering passion for a fair and just legal system that make her the best candidate for the job. I am confident she will preside over this newly created court with a discerning ear.”
