Texas Democratic Party State Convention slated for Austin

Dear fellow Democrat,
The excitement about this year's TDP State Convention is like nothing Texas has ever seen. Over 15,000 Delegates, Alternates and Guests from all over the Lone Star State are expected to attend this historic event. In order to ensure that as many Democrats as possible are able to participate in the Convention, the TDP will make guest passes available to the general public through a random drawing.
Note that a guest pass does not make you a delegate or alternate, but simply entitles you to observe the Convention on the date for which you receive a credential. We will make every effort to accommodate each request for guest passes, but due to the high level of excitement around this year's convention, we cannot guarantee that you will receive a guest pass. Names for the drawing will be accepted through Friday, May 23rd at 6 p.m. & the TDP staff will contact winners on Tuesday, May 27th.

Delegates, Alternates, and members of the public who attend the State Convention will be part of an event like no other, and I am delighted to announce that I have recommended Senator Kirk Watson of Austin, an Obama supporter, and Senator Leticia Van de Putte of San Antonio, a Clinton supporter, to serve as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Convention. Excitement will be high at the Convention, but with these two distinguished legislators in charge, I know we can count on a fair and successful process.
Keep in mind that you can still be part of the Convention excitement by attending the Convention Kick Off Reception on June 5th or the Blue Star Breakfast on June 7th. These events are open to the public, but tickets are going very fast. These events will both sell out soon, so this may be your last chance to purchase a ticket.
