Texas Folklife Festival coming, Institute closures scheduled

In preparation for the 2008 Texas Folklife Festival, UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures will close Monday, June 9th, and re-open at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 13th for the start of the Festival. The Texas Folklife Festival is an annual celebration of the many great cultures of Texas with authentic cultural foods, dance, live music, craft demonstrations, storytelling, carnival rides and more.
The Texas Folklife Festival runs 5 - 11 p.m., Friday, June 13th, 11 a.m. - 11 p.m., Saturday, June 14th & Noon - 7 p.m., Sunday, June 15th.
Advanced tickets are now on sale at all HEB locations, UTSA campuses, Lackland and Randolph Air Force Bases and Fort Sam Houston.
