Palm Heights Neighborhood Association to honor soldiers
Who: Palm Heights Neighborhood AssociationWhat: Honoring local servicemen Sgt. Trey Corrales and Sgt. Leonardo Trevino. Giving out a community service award to Haifa International.
When: May 20th @ 7 p.m.
Where: Palm Heights Community Center, 1201 W. Malone
Why: The Palm Heights Association has been acknowledging various community members thgroughout the year. Tonight they will honor Army Sergeants, Leonardo Trevino and Trey Corrales for their hardwork protecting our country.
Both soldiers recently came under scrutiny for allegedly committing pre-meditated murder of Iraqi insurgents. Both men were aquitted and their community wants to show them they care with a small awards ceremony.
The Palm Heights Association would also like to honor a local family who has given many years of service to their community. The Haifa Family of Haifa International has not only resided in Palm Heights, but they have also helped in revitalizing the area. Their economic growth and donations to various community organizations will finally be recognized. These men and women are the true meaning of progress in our country and we hope to honor them well.
District 5 City Council will have a representative present as well as the City of San Antonio Community liason.
