Metal Werks Garage has been able to bring together a diverse group of volunteers for this event. Ranging from former city council assistants and Iraq War veterans to full fleged hot rod builders, this group maintains one goal.
A family friendly event in lieu of charitable organizations which range from a blood drive with the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center, canned food donations for the San Antonio Food Bank, free admission for disabled Iraq veterans from The Center of The Intrepid, and a scholarship fundraiser for a local high school.
Metal Werks has been involved with various non-profit organizations and recently mentored local students in the shop atmosphere. Our main objective is to encourage charity as a means to shift the negativity which some people percieve in the custom car lifestyle by providing positive
alternatives within our communities.
This event is sure to attract a diverse crowd of spectators due to the universal appeal and the giving nature of our great city. We wish that you can attend and witness the uniqueness for yourself.
We have confirmed the attendance of a few City Council members Lourdes Galvan, Sheila McNeil, and Philip Cortez.
SAISD Assistant Superintendent Elizabeth Melson will attend in assistance of the Palm Heights Association scholarship fund for Burbank High School.
Please contact us about any questions, concerns, or accomodations. Fernando Velazquez, 210-380-6138 or Quest512713@yahoo.com
