Finally. Today’s news of Carlos Uresti’s resignation from the Texas Senate means one of the saddest, most embarrassing stories of Texas politics finally comes to an end.
Texans from San Antonio to Eagle Pass and from Pecos to Del Rio finally have the chance to get leadership and representation they deserve. And our campaign can finally begin in earnest.
This is a time for new energy and new ideas, not for the old politics that lead to Donald Trump. It’s a time for truth-telling and getting things done the right way, not political favors or insiders making decisions behind closed doors.
