Bexar County Young Tejano Democrats hosts Mayoral Forum, 4-14
We met once again with Trinity University Officials, Political Science Department Representatives/Students, and Rick Casey from Texas Week about the upcoming San Antonio Mayoral Candidate Forum.
We are happy to announce that Rick Casey has agreed and will be the moderator for our forum at Trinity, April 14th @ 6 p.m. Due to the nature of the forum we have decided to limit the number of candidates to four.
These candidate are, former St. Rep. Mike Villarrreal, former Senator Leticia van de Putte, former Commissioner Tommy Adkisson, & Mayor Ivy Taylor. Trinity will be sending out formal invitation letters by the end of the week to the candidates as well as your Bexar County Young Tejano Democrats.
This forum will be open to all students in the San Antonio area, as organizers will be reaching out to different campuses for students to submit potential questions to be asked and be in attendance.
We also would like for different San Antonio civic organizations to participate, as there will be an opportunity for the community to also submit questions. If your organizations would like to participate please contact the BCYTD.
Since City Council Elections are non-partisan, we would like to extend this opportunity also to a Republican organization to co-sponsor this event with us. Please contact the BCYTD if there is an organization that is interested.
