Sen. Carlos Uresti endorsed by San Antonio Express-News
Editorial board cites strong record of advocating for abused and neglected children
In a strong recommendation to voters, the San Antonio Express-News on Thursday endorsed the re-election of state Sen. Carlos Uresti in his race for the Texas Senate.
The newspaper's editorial board acknowledged Sen. Uresti's efforts to pass legislation giving BexarMet ratepayers the ability to abolish the troubled utility, which they did by a margin of more than 75 percent last year, and his long record as a champion for children.
Sen. Uresti has been "a strong advocate for neglected and abused children," the editorial board said, adding, “We recommend that voters re-elect Sen. Carlos Uresti.”
