Wanted to send a reminder about the annual Mays Symposium – February 16, 2008 – this year’s topic is decorative glass. This year’s speakers include:

Light, Color and the Inspiration of Nature: Glass and Art Nouveau
Martin Eidelberg, Ph.D., Profesor Emeritus, Rutgers University
Seismic Shifts: Chihuly in the Northwest
Margery Aronson, Independent Curator, Curator for the Pilchuck Glass Collection at City Centre, the Sheraton Seattle Hotel and Towers collection of Northwest art, and the contemporary glass exhibition at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Glass: Material in the Service of Meaning Tina Oldknow, Curator of Modern Glass, The Corning Museum of Glass.
Registration is $30 for SAMA members, $40 for non-members and $15 for students. Lunch is included. You may mail your payment to the San Antonio Museum of Art or call 210.978.8133 to register by phone.
This is the eleventh in a series of seminars on decorative arts underwritten by the Mays Family Foundation.
