Bexar County is plagued with sexual predators and weneed a new Sheriff who is ready to implement anaggressive and proactive offender recognition andmonitoring program.

As your next Sheriff of Bexar County I “Chris Milam” will aggressively identify sex offenders within our community and monitor their activities to ensure they are in compliance with every condition imposed by our courts.

There are approximately 1900 Registered Sex offenders within Bexar County. We need to evaluate and understand the propensity for these persons to re-offend and their continuing threat to the citizens of Bexar County, especially our children and elderly.

Serious adjustments need to be made in the manpower and resources which the Sheriff’s Office has dedicated to monitoring those persons convicted of sexual offenses and who are living in our community. As your next Sheriff, I will seek out Federal funding sources to assist in managing the ever-growing problems associated with monitoring sexual offenders.

I will engage in partnerships with the Federal Government to assist in accomplishing these goals. We will do this in a manner, which does not requireany further local tax dollars. We can, and will address these issues which I knowneed improvement, within the Sheriffs Office. While speaking to citizens in the past 14 months the message has been given to me loud and clear “Bexar County will no longer tolerate criminals whoexploit our women and children, we want them caught,off our streets, and locked up in jail.”

As your Chief Law Enforcement Officer of Bexar County my administration will provide leadership to the 26 cities and 13 School Districts within Bexar County to protect our citizens by tracking, convicting, andremoving these sexual predators from our streets.
