L-R: Amber James, BCYD Treasurer; Katherine McKoy; Scott Simpson, Candidate for Judge; & Mario Bravo, BCYD Member, Brenda Sanchez, BCYD Member talk politics, Marianna Lujan, Lisa Marie Heman, and Priscila Castillo, Chris Garcia, BCYD President; Andy Lopez, Candidate for Sheriff

Over 30 Democrats joined the Bexar County Young Democrats recently for our last Mixer of the 2007! We were celebrating a great year chock full of community service projects, mixers, movie nights and grassroots activism. Andy Lopez, Candidate for Sheriff; Amber Liddell Alwais, Candidate for Judge; and Scott Simpson, Candidate for Judge attended the mixer and mingled with Young Democrats.

Although this was a Holiday Party, we never tire in the pursuit to turn Texas blue. We registered three individuals to vote! Mario Bravo, BCYD Member, had Precinct Chair applications available for Young Democrats wanting to get involved in Bexar County Democratic politics. If you were not able to make the mixer but you're interested in Precinct Chair, contact BCYD and we'll answer your questions. Just remember, the filing deadline is January 2nd.

We are look forward to the year ahead as are gearing up for Election Year 2008. This will be an important year for us as we choose new leadership for our country and our state. We've got some great plans in the works for 2008 - all to be kicked off at our Re-Launch Party in January. Stay tuned...more details on the Re-Launch to come.
