Benefit for woman shot by husband-Sat. Dec. 15th

A benefit is being held for Debra Lozano and her children this Saturday. Her family will be selling barbeque Chicken plates at Southwest High School (stadium concession stand), 11690 Dragon Lane, from noon - 4 p.m. Plates are $5.

In early October, Debra was shot twice by her husband. One bullet punctured her lung and the other shattered her bone by her hip. Her thumb was grazed by a bullet and her 17 year old son was also grazed by a bullet and beaten with a baseball bat when he tried to intervene.

Debbie is doing amazingly well. She is walking short distances with crutches and may be able to return to work on a part-time basis in mid-January. In the meantime, they are needing some financial assistance.

If you can contribute or would like to buy plates, please email me or attend the fundraiser on Saturday. Also, please distribute this email and/or post the attached flyer and help us get the word out. Thanks!

Monica Lopez
