Judge Specia honored at 3rd State of the Children Luncheon at St. Anthony's Hotel

Retired Judge John Specia was honored at the Third Annual State of Children Luncheon at the St. Anthony's Hotel, Monday. February 12th for his work in establishing the Children's Court which he presided over for 19 years.

WOAI News-4 Reporter Tanji Patton served as Emcee for the event & words of praise for Judge Specia were offered by the Executive Director of ChildSafe, Mark Carmona. Also speaking to the crowd were words of tribute by Tracy Wolff of the Hildalgo Foundation and Judge Specia's replacement on the 225th District, Judge Peter Sakai.
