Walker Report hits yet another milestone with post #700 & a new masthead coming soon with ads

The Walker Report just keeps on rolling by posting for the 700th time since June 16th, 2006. The Blog is gradually evolving into a County-wide blog that covers political events, community events, neighborhood associations, labor, civil rights marches, entertainment, & happenings all over Bexar County.

Originally an exclusive political blog for the Bexar County Democratic Party under the name BCDPNews, the Walker Report continues to promote Democrats in its postings but also is expanding to be more inclusive of non-partisan races like the upcoming San Antonio City Council election in May, business activities and even some events that would be considered religious.

By expanding the type of coverage that the Walker Report is delving into, the bottom line is that the Walker Report is all about people. People come in all shapes, sizes, colors, political persuasions, lifestyles and religious beliefs. This blog is not issue oriented, takes no official stand on the controversies of the day, but promotes individuals.

As a militarily trained broadcast, print photojournalist and editor of the Walker Report, my goal is to break the news, inform the readers and post lots of photos of everyone who stands in front of the camera. You may be next!

Recently the Walker Report covered the opening of the Center for the Intrepid at Brooke Army Medical Center. Photos of heroes, soldiers of all branches, dignitaries, Presidential candidates, entertainment personalities and the common man merged to honor those who valiantly serve our country and keep us out of harm's way.

Those of you who missed the posting of the event, can scroll down and view the likes of Senator John McCain, Senator Hillary Clinton, singer-songwriter John Mellencamp, Actress Michelle Pfieffer, talk show host Rosie O'Donnell, local & national media and other celebrities.

This is the goal of the Walker Report; more photos, less rhetoric. Within 48 hours we should have a new masthead reflecting the mission of the Walker Report and we will be selling ads as well.

Again this is the new mission for the Walker Report. Read, view and enjoy. If you want something posted, email me at
misterbalconesheights@yahoo.com and we will see what we can do.

Walker Report Editor: Steve Walker
also a Balcones Heights Councilman
