Live from San Antonio, it's Saturday Night!!!

Despite the fact that New York Senator Charles Schumer was in San Antonio in the Dominion, Saturday, April 21st, none-the-less, the opening of NBCs Saturday Night Live at 10:35 featured the Senator opening the show with the standard line, "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night." The opening was taped hours earlier at a local hotel lobby.

Schumer, along with Colorado Senator Ken Salazar and New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez gathered at attorney Mike Watts house to raise funds for a number of Democratic Senate campaigns in 2008.

Watts and friends raised a record amount ($1.1 million) and far surpassed Dallas or Houston during the Senator's swing through Texas. Well over a hundred local donors attended along with numerous elected officials and dignitaries.
