A resident of League City, near Galveston, said authorities told him he'll have to go to Dallas to prove his car wasn't caught on camera running a red light.

A Dallas red-light camera snapped a picture of a black Acura 32T going through a red light last month, and officials mailed a ticket to Richard Gregory of League City, according to The Daily News in Galveston County.
Gregory never owned an Acura. He doesn't own a black car. He wasn't in Dallas at the time. Apparently, an N in the license plate was mistaken for an M.
Of course, drivers can contest the tickets, a Dallas spokeswoman told The Daily News. All they have to do is show up in court.
Or else ... face fines that officials say can end up on a credit report.
"How do you prove you've never owned something?" Gregory's quoted as saying. "It's not as if I had it and sold it."
