District 1 Associations host forum at St. Mark's

Northwest Los Angeles Heights, Beacon Hill, Five Points, Olmos Park Terrace and Alta Vista Neighborhood Associations banded together and hosted a public forum with three District 1 Council candidates at St. Mark's Methodist Church off Vance Jackson across from the Wal Mart, Wednesday, March 14th.
All three candidates appeared to answer questions about garbage pickup, taxes, education, street maintenance and graffitti.
The three candidates included: kat swift, Esmeralda Monreal de Mercado and Mary Alice Cisneros.
Each were given an opportunity to make an opening statement to tell the voters a little bit about there history and reason for running for office. The hour & a half long program finished with refreshments and an opportunity to visit with the candidates after the forum.
