Our Lady of the Lake University Conference, Feb. 5-6

Our Lady of the Lake University is a private Catholic co-educational Institution and has been carrying on it's annual Mexican American Studies Conference. The OLLU established itself in 1895 by the Congregation of Divine Providence, which continues as it's main sponsoring organization.

A few professors of OLLU came together earlier this decade to establish a new studies program named Mexican American Studies & Research. The Mexican American scholars conference started at the same time and continues to grow annually.

This year's conference was held in the OLLU Library Community Room, February 5th-6th. It's main purpose was to promote and encourage research and creativity in the field of Mexican American Studies.

Vasquez, Lecturer of Art, Fabiola Torralba, Service Learning Coordinator, Jorge DeLaRosa-Brunswick, Assistant Director College Assistance Migrant Program, Dr. Richard Herrera, OLLU Alumni Presenter & this year's OLLU Annual Mexican American Scholars Conference.
