The annual CineFestival program at Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is sponsored in part by the City of San Antonio Office of Cultural Affairs, Film San Antonio / The San Antonio Film Commission, Texas Commission of Arts, Kronkosky Charitable Foundation, Target, Humanities Texas, The Saint Anthony Hotel, Alamo Travel Group, WellMed, The RK Group, SA Express-News, Barefoot Wine and NALIP SA.

Sunday, February 8th, the 31st CineFestival hosted the Ecological Celebration by opening the gates to the community garden named Jardin Mayahuel. It was the ECO Celebration after the viewing of Environmental Films at the CineFestival ’09.

The community around the area and throughout San Antonio, including tourists, became amazed how a forgotten garden was redeveloped to make more space and room to tour the garden. One of the Co-Directors of CineFestival, Victor Payan, had his mother, Mrs. Payan, flown into San Antonio from San Diego, CA.
