New Year’s Greetings from: Southwest School of Art & Craft, San Antonio

Art for everyone is the Southwest School of Art & Craft’s daily credo as it starts its 43rd year as San Antonio ’s art school, with more than 4000 students of all ages studying here. The big news for 2008:

The year kicks off with 2 months’ worth of cultural exuberance direct from New Zealand . Our major exhibition, Te Tataitanga/Bind Together: Contemporary Art of New Zealand, brings not only distinctive art, but also music, dance, culinary delights, workshops and a 2-day public demonstration of tā moko, the art of Māori tattooing.

Our venerable and beloved Fiesta Arts Fair broke onto the list of the Top Ten American art fairs and festivals at #7, according to the national readers’ poll published by American Style Magazine. Another reason to party during Fiesta!

2008 Exhibitions
All exhibitions are free and open to the public Mon-Sat, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Location: 300 Augusta (at Navarro and Augusta), in downtown San Antonio

The Russell Hill Rogers Galleries , located on the Navarro Campus, are also open Sun, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Many images available upon request.
