12:02 a.m., November 1st, Walker Report passes 100-thousand hits and sets all time record just missing record on Halloween!

The Walker Report has finally accomplished the unthinkable. Attempting to surpass the 100-thousand mark on Halloween minutes before midnight, the blog fell 2 hits shy of the mark only to surpass the milestone two minutes after midnight.

Unlike a baseball game or football game where time matters, Walker Report is now looking forward to hitting the 200-thousand mark in less time than it took to reach the 100-thousand mark. This post is also the 2,195th since the first post June 15th, 2006. As the commercial says, "we have come a long way, baby!"

As has been stated consistently, diversity is the name of the game for Walker Report. We allow both sides of an issue to post their information as long as there are no personal attacks involved. In the political arena, Liberals & Conservatives are both welcome.

No photos of alcohol, smoking, inappropriate behavior, or trash talking are allowed on Walker Report. We are a family blog and encourage young people to visit and look at the photos.

We have this past year been voted in a reader's poll as the second best blog in Bexar County. Our goal is to be voted number one the next time the SA Current conducts that poll.

Readers will also notice we post photos of people from everyday walks of life. The Walker Report is not the exclusive domain of only high ranking individuals. We post presidential candidates, CEOs, kids, senior citizens, religious & non-religious, military, custodians, wait staff, middle class, high class, low class and even NO class people!!! (joking)

We welcome all to the Walker Report. Rule of thumb is act nice, be nice and a nice photo of you will appear on the Walker Report. If you have an event, send the info in to misterbalconesheights@yahoo.com and we will promo it and hopefully cover it. All information is subject to editing for length, grammar, spelling, and style. Stay away from the all capital letters. As a former Broadcast Print/Photo Journalist and English teacher, I do my best to keep it simple, clear and concise.

Again, Welcome to the Walker Report.
