Breaking News- Walker Report just posted for the 3,400th time since inception, June 16th, 2006!
We are on a roll. We are hours away from also recording 225-thousand views on the blog. By June or sooner, we anticipate quarter of a million hits on Walker Report. The more you and friends log on, the quicker we hit that milestone.
We have increased our coverage to include more diverse events and you are seeing more political types on the blog. Of course I can't post political, my three bloggers can however, (read the disclaimer at the top of the blog) but I can post everything else that we cover.
We logged in on eight different Fiesta events to include opening of carnival, Opening Ceremonies, Earth Day, Taste of New Orleans, Fiesta for Seniors, St. Gregory's Festival (my Elementary School alma mater) St. Luke's Festival and of course the Battle of Flowers Parade.
We are covering more non-profits, business mixers, business networking groups & religious related activities to include yesterday's National Day of Prayer @ the steps of City Hall.
We are also adding additional politically related links to the Walker Report that reflect liberal and conservative outlooks on life. (newest one today -Home Schooling) Walker Report takes a neutral stand on those issues and offers both sides their opportunity to state their positions in an upbeat, postive way without personal attacks and negativity.
The one hard core rule is still in place. We do NOT post photos promoting alcohol, smoking, inappropriate behavior, bad language or personal attacks. We don't do "gottcha" photos either.
As it has been stated numerous times in the past two years, we are a family-oriented blog and no parent has to fear that their youngster will stumble on Walker Report and view any photo ot statement that is not in keeping with that high standard.
Keep viewing and sending in your event information so that we can promote it and eventually cover it. Next goal: 250-thousand hits!!
