Town Hall meeting, @ Beacon Hill Presbyterian Church

Texans have seen health insurance premiums jump 40 percent in just five years, and we have some of the highest premiums in the US. More than 5.5 million Texans lack any kind of health insurance, and millions more are underinsured, paying stiff premiums for policies that still leave them vulnerable to medical debt.

The Texas Sunset Commission is currently considering changes to the Texas Department of Insurance that could expand access to quality, affordable health insurance for Texans. NOW is the time to tell lawmakers your health insurance story and ask them what they will do to fix the system.

This event is co-sponsored by Texas Impact, Texas Legal Services Center, Texas ACORN, Texas Public Interest Research Group, the Baptist Christian Life Commission and AARP-Texas. For more information, call 512.472.3903 or email james@texasimpact.org
