UTSA begins the 2008-2009 school year with a formal convocation ceremony. Professors and administrators in academic regalia will take part in welcoming the student body and familiarizing students with the university's academic traditions, accomplishments and aspirations.
“Your Journey Begins” is the theme for UTSA President Ricardo Romo's keynote address. Provost John Frederick, vice president for academic affairs, will officiate. Student Government Association President Christina Gomez will deliver a welcome on behalf of the student body.
10 – 11:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 25th @ Recreation Center Gymnasium, UTSA 1604 Campus. Approach from IH-10/UTSA Blvd. Parking Lot #5.
