UTSA President Ricardo Romo kicks off the fall semester in style with the grand opening of the 60,000 square-foot expansion to the UTSA University Center. The University Center complex, in the heart of the 1604 Campus, houses he only offices and spaces dedicated to student life.

Newest features include a ballroom with kitchen, conference rooms, offices for staff and student organizations, lounge, game room and outdoor area for students to sit on the lawn and enjoy movies or concerts.

University Center renovations will also showcase a Frost Bank, a new convenience store, and a retail operation. In addition to Starbucks, which opened last spring, new student dining options will include a Taco Cabana and Panda Express.

UTSA’s University Center expansion and renovation was funded through an increase in student fees approved in a student referendum in 2003.

Media Parking: From I-10, exit UTSA Boulevard and turn left proceeding towards UTSA campus.
