Guide Dogs of Texas, the only guide dog school in Texas, uses a training program based on internationally recognized methods of reward and positive reinforcement. Particular emphasis is placed on the matching process of the client and a guide dog. Supportive aftercare visits in the client's home as well as one-on-one work with instructors are result is a very high success rate and improved levels of mobility and independence for the visually impaired client.
