San Antonio Association of Hispanic Journalists Host Latino Issues Forum Saturday, April 12
Event showcases top Hispanic researchers in South Texas

The San Antonio Association of Hispanic Journalists will host the 2nd Annual Latino Issues Forum “Hispanic Research for You and Your Family” at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 in the Providence West Social Room (PWSR) at Our Lady of the Lake University, 411 S.W. 24th St.

The free event will showcase some of the top Hispanic researchers in South Texas from San Antonio, San Marcos and Austin. Research topics to be discussed include education, elections, health, history and media.

Scheduled panelists include Dr. Maggie Rivas-Rodriguez, University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Henry Flores, St. Mary’s University, Dr. Federico Subervi, Texas State University in San Marcos, Dr. Karl Eschbach, The University of Texas at San Antonio Texas State Data Center and Dr. Liliana Oakes, The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Following the brief presentations, panelists will participate in a question and answer session with the audience.
