Texas DemVets endorse Castro for re-election

State Rep. District 125

The Texas Democratic Veterans whole-heartedly endorse Joaquin Castro for re-election as the State Representative for District 125.

Representative Castro has truly been an advocate for Texas Veterans as his door is always been open for our concerns and issues. He has always been proactive visiting Veteran Service Organizations such as the San Antonio American Legion Post #2 listening to the Veterans and family members talking about ways to enhance our wellness.

For example, Joaquin has agreed to support the Hazelwood Legacy Act where if passed next legislative session this will help many of the children of Texas Veterans received educational benefits from our State Public universities and colleges.

His opponent dropped out for unknown reasons from the prestigious university, the Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, even though he received a taxpayer funded AF ROTC College scholarship to attend.

We respectfully ask you to support Joaquin Castro, a man of commitment to the military, veterans and family members.

Respectfully,

Lawrence G. Romo, Lt Col USAFR (Ret.)

Texas DemVets Chairman
