AIDS Awareness Week, a San Antonio Collaborative

AIDS Awareness

In support of AIDS Awareness Week and World AIDS Day, the San Antonio Museum of Art, Gemini Ink, and the San Antonio AIDS Foundation have joined forces to offer a spectacular evening of performance art, poetry, music, and dance.

Enjoy readings by John Phillip Santos, Carmen Tafolla, Anthony the Poet, and Jenny Brown. Performances by David Zamora Casas, Anna de Luna, Jayne King and Bill Colangelo.

Come early and hear Anita Valencia present a short talk at 6:30 p.m. about her "Joy of Art" bottle cap assemblages, which are on exhibition in the Café des Artistes.

As part of this special evening, Café des Artistes will be open for dining to be enjoyed during the program for the evening. Visitors can dine in the cafe or purchase items to go and sit outside. Cash bars will be available both inside and outside.
December 1 is World AIDS Day, the first global health day established to unite people worldwide in the fight against AIDS.
